The Guy Who Carried a Cow (And How That Could Stop You from Bingeing Tonight)

This is what happens when you lift your cravings instead of letting them crush you.
This is what happens when you lift your cravings instead of letting them crush you.

Let me ask you something:

Have you ever tried to change everything about the way you eat… all at once?

You go from “Time to get back on track” to:

  • No sugar.

  • No snacks.

  • No comfort food.

  • No fun, apparently.

And by 3pm you’re hiding in the pantry, whispering to a bag of mini Oreos like they’re your only friends in the world.

Been there.

And I used to think I was the only one who cracked under pressure. But now I know:

It’s not that you’re doing it wrong — it’s that the approach is way too heavy.

You’re trying to carry the bull before you’ve even met the calf.

Enter: A Greek Guy With a Cow

Let me introduce you to Milo of Croton.

Milo was an ancient Olympian. Full of muscle. The kind of guy who probably ate twelve eggs for breakfast and cracked walnuts with his bare hands just for fun.

And legend has it, Milo didn’t get strong overnight.

He didn’t wake up and say, “I think I’ll lift that full-grown bull today.”

That would be… insane.

Instead, he started with a baby calf.

Every day, he picked up the calf.

The calf grew.

Milo got stronger.

Little by little.

Until eventually, he could lift the whole bull.

💡That’s the metaphor. That’s the whole thing.

This is how real change happens.

One tiny win at a time.

What This Has to Do With You (And Chocolate)

Most women think they have to go hard to change their eating habits.

That they have to be:

  • “Good” every day

  • Perfectly prepped

  • Stronger than every craving

  • Bulletproof at birthday parties

  • A kale-flavored version of Wonder Woman

And if they slip up, even a little?

Cue the guilt.

Cue the “I blew it” binge.

Cue the vow to “start fresh” Monday.

But… what if we flipped the script?

What if instead of lifting the bull, we just… fed the calf?

Let it grow slowly?

Grew with it?

What if we stopped trying to be perfect… and just focused on being consistent?

Meet MILO (No, Not the Australian Chocolate Drink)

That’s the idea behind MILO — my coaching program named after our legendary cow-lifter.

MILO isn’t about going cold turkey on your favorite foods.

It’s not about strict rules or impossible standards.

And it’s definitely not about trying to fix your entire life before the weekend.

It’s about building strength — gently.

Confidence — daily.

Peace with food — on purpose.

We take one small, doable win each day… and let that be enough.

Because it is.

Over time, those tiny wins stack up.

You start to feel different.

You start to think differently.

Food starts to feel… easier.

No drama. No shame. No weird diet rules.

Just you, showing up for yourself — with curiosity, not criticism.

And trust me: that’s what creates real freedom.

Ready to Start with the Calf?

If you’re tired of trying to to fix everything at once

If you're done with plans that require you to be perfect from day one…

If you’re ready to stop overeating without giving up the food you love…

Then you’re ready for MILO.

We start small.

We build momentum.

And we carry the bull — eventually. (But gently. And on our terms.)

With love (and zero pressure to be perfect),

Nan

P.S. The best time to start was yesterday.

The second-best time? Right now.

The third-best time? After you finish that square of dark chocolate you’re definitely allowed to enjoy. 😉Let’s do this together.
